Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Follow My Mission uses cookies and similar storage so the site can keep you signed in and, when configured, understand how the public pages are used. This page lists what we set.
Essential cookies
These are required for the product to work. The site cannot keep you logged in without them.
- mm_session. HttpOnly login cookie. It stores a signed session so we know who you are after you sign in with email or Google. It lasts about 30 days, uses SameSite=Lax, and is Secure in production.
- mm_google_pending and mm_next. Short-lived cookies used only during Google sign-in / sign-up so we can finish creating your account and send you to the right page.
Offer reminders
These remember an offer so we do not ask on every page, and so a code from a link can be filled in at checkout. They are not advertising, and they are not used to build a profile.
- fmm_popup. Stored in this browser’s local storage. It is not sent to our server. It remembers whether you have seen, closed, or used an on-site offer.
- fmm_popup_session. Stored in this browser’s session storage for the current visit. It is removed when you close the tab. It limits an offer to once per visit.
- fmm_promo. An HttpOnly cookie that carries an offer code from a shared link or a tracked QR code through to checkout. It lasts about 30 days, uses SameSite=Lax, and is Secure in production.
- fmm_ref. An HttpOnly cookie that carries a referral code from a referral link through to signup. It lasts about 30 days, uses SameSite=Lax, and is Secure in production.
Analytics cookies (optional)
Microsoft Clarity sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk for session replay and usage analytics. Clarity loads only on the public marketing pages: home, pricing, partners, the mission call page, and the sample journal. If a Google Analytics measurement ID is configured, Google may also set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to measure page views. We use this to understand how the site is used, not to advertise.
You can block analytics cookies in your browser. Essential login cookies cannot be blocked if you want to stay signed in.
What we do not use
We do not use advertising networks, cross-site marketing pixels, or sell cookie data. We do not use cookies to decide journal visibility; Private vs Share is stored on the entry itself.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you delete cookies or block third-party cookies. Clearing Follow My Mission cookies will sign you out. For Google Analytics controls, see Google’s own opt-out tools.
More
How we handle journal content is in the Privacy Policy. Using the service is also covered by the Terms of Service.
