The Mission Photo Book
The mission photo book is a printed hardcover made from the entries kept in the Follow My Mission journal. It is optional, it is charged separately, and it requires the journal. There is no way to buy the book by itself, and there is no standalone upload product.

The book is built from the weekly entries the family has already collected in the journal, so the work of gathering the mission in one place is already done before anyone thinks about printing.

What the photo book costs
The journal comes first at $49 one time. The book is then $119 for up to 300 pages.
Extra pages cost $0.50 each, up to 500 pages in total. A 400-page book is $119 plus 100 extra pages at $0.50, which is $169 for the book, plus the $49 journal.

Missed the start of the mission? You can still make the book
Past emails become journal entries, and those entries turn missionary emails into a book.
A family can forward or import past emails to backfill the journal, for a mission in progress or a mission that is already finished. Already home? A returned missionary book works the same way: forward the past emails, complete the journal, then order the book.
Past emails can be backfilled before a book is made, with no maximum number of past emails. A family can complete the journal first, then make the book from it.
Journals stay forever, so the completed journal remains available after the mission and the book can be ordered from it. The church removes the missionary Google account about 60 days after the missionary returns, so weekly emails kept only in that account can be lost.

The $119 book is an optional extra for journal owners. It cannot be bought without the $49 journal, and there is no separate service for uploading emails and photos directly.
